Crash on Highway 30 and Hendrick Road

One person was killed and three others injured in this crash on Highway 30 at Hendricks Road east of Highway FF just after 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29.

A 17-year-old High Ridge teenager was killed Tuesday afternoon in a wreck on Highway 30 at Hendricks Road, east of Highway FF.

Nicholas Decker was a passenger in the 2003 Ford Escort being driven by Gunnar Smith, 17, Dittmer.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, Smith, driving south, failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection. He pulled in front of a 1999 Winnebago RV driven by Glennon Naeger, 66, Perryville.

Naeger ran into the side of the Escort, killing Decker.

The accident occured at about 2:05 p.m. Decker was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:15 p.m. by a St. Clair EMT.

His body was transported to the St. Louis County Morgue.

Smith was taken by helicopter to Mercy Hospital St. Louis. Naeger was transported by St. Clair Ambulance to St. Anthony's Medical Center.
