Scenic Regional Library in New Haven has a variety of events scheduled for February and March.

World Bird Sanctuary will present Critters for Kids Tuesday, Feb. 21, at 6 p.m. at Old New Haven School, 810 Maupin Ave.

Guests will come face to face with a variety of animals.

People can meet Coal the great horned owl, Monty the ball python, Russell the armadillo and Wednesday the tarantula.

This event is fun for families and kids of all ages.

Know the 10 Signs of Alzheimer’s is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 23, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Old New Haven School.

Speakers will help participants separate myth from reality and address commonly held fears about Alzheimer’s disease.

Participants will learn how to recognize the signs, understand the benefits of early detection and find out what resources are available to help.

This is a companion program to The Basics: Memory Loss, Dementia and Azheimer’s scheduled for 2 to 3 p.m. at the Hermann branch.

Preschool Storytime for kids up to kindergarten age meets each Tuesday at 10 a.m., and Saturday, Feb. 18, at 10 a.m.

Children will enjoy stories about family and friends, along with songs, finger plays and crafts.

Read, Build and Play for kids ages 4 to 12 happens Saturday, Feb. 18, at 11 a.m. Stop by and explore color with hands-on experiments.

Storytime and Read, Build and Play meet at the branch, 910 Maupin Ave., New Haven.

The Shamrock Shindig Leprechaun Luncheon will take place Friday, March 10, from 2 to 3:30 p.m, at Old New Haven School.
