It cost $600 to close the street for two days? Does the city collect any fees from Borgia for closing a street on a daily basis? While on the subject; why can't that street be closed only during recess time? It is an inconvenience to the downtown area to have it closed all day.5 months ago
I am very sorry for your loss, but feel that the lawsuit is totally wrong. Parents are held responsible for such things as letting their children cross a highway on a four wheeler( child endangerment ?) . A sixteen year old driving at night on a road most people avoid during the day or all the way from Warrenton alarmed me as soon as I read it. I know we can't control everything our children do. I have made many mistakes as a teen and as a parent; but I don't think I would try to put all the blame on someone else. There are plenty of other ways to raise awareness without wasting money on this lawsuit. Again, I am sorry you lost a loved one; no matter the reason.7 months ago
Congrats to Betty and everyone that made this happen. 7 months ago
Mr Biermann deserves some recognition also. I feel he is a teacher that taught to actually "teach" kids. After teaching at the school for so many years; he still taught home bound students in the district. Some of these children were ones the district couldn't teach in their system. (It is a shame we don't have an alternative school in our district) Watching Mr. Biermann at the library with some of these students was amazing. Thank you Mr. Biermann for making a difference in so many families lives!7 months ago

Guy, I AGREE!

WashMoFam - the Mo Police Chiefs Assn. has a web site with phone numbers and e-mail addresses if you truly feel you have issues that need to be addressed. I found a lot of the info I was questioning on this site also.7 months ago
The process examines every aspect of the department to ensure it conforms to professional standards and guidelines and that officers are trained in those standards and that they follow them. What are the standards and how are they tracked in regards to being followed? Are there any physical fitness requirements that should be met? I have many questions that possibly would be answered by knowing the standards. Why did it cost $10,000.00 to obtain what we should have had in performance anyway?7 months ago
Dr. Katcher, you have also benefited from the tax dollars through your consulting fees. At least you are paying taxes to the district unlike the superintendent and other high paid administrative staff. Maybe it is time for the patrons to ask you and the administrative staff if you can say "voucher". Please feel free to explain to all that might not be aware of what I am referring to in reference to vouchers. I am sure you would do a much better job than myself; being a Dr. and all. I would hate to misspell anything in the process!7 months ago
I agree. I have heard nothing but positive comments about Mr. Lause. Didn't this happen to a teacher in Marthasville in the last decade also? Is this a way of keeping "control" ? Funny how a principal at Washington West got away with having private files on children, telling parents their child must be put on medication when real doctors said no, and controlling how teachers were allowed to fill out survey forms; ( just to mention a few) held her position for years. I feel the taxpayers deserve answers; it is our money. 7 months ago
