I am noticing the same issue at the intersection of Hwy. K, Belew Rd., and Plum Ford Rd. Tandem dump trucks, semi-dump trucks, and double tandem dump trucks (white with a fancy "BR" on the door) are entering and exiting this already EXTREMELY dangerous intersection frequently. I've personally viewed the trucks attempting to enter Hwy K. from Plum Ford Road, heading south toward Sullivan. They can NOT make this turn without occupying at least 50% of the opposite lane of traffic. I'd like to think the drivers are exercising great caution before attempting to make the turn, but that's not possible because it's a blind curve and oncoming traffic can not be seen coming around the corner. I fear, as do the residents on Rye Creek Rd., that it's simply a matter of when, not if, a fatal accident will occur. I wish I had an alternate route I could take so that this intersection could be avoided on my commute, but that's not a possibility for me. 8 months ago
Never a threat or danger involved? A student was wielding a knife in a 1st grade classroom. I wasn't there, but it sounds like danger was involved. I certainly wouldn't guess that anyone in that room was feeling overly "safe" and "academically productive" at that point!!!
