This isn't even the first shady personnel change involving this administration. I don't think there was a story about it (though there should have been!) but the two nurses at Washington High School were not offered new contracts after last year because of their refusal to participate in some sort of scandal involving the school board president and his wife.
My daughter said not only are the new nurses inexperienced and having a hard time handling the workload (the previous nurses had been there many years, one at least 10+ years) but the principals moved the nurse's office all the way across the school to the west wing MAKING THEIR RESPONSE TIME LONGER WHEN THERE ARE EMERGENCIES. Why did they do this? So they could put the TEACHER'S LOUNGE where the old nurse's office was and the POOR TEACHERS wouldn't have to walk too far.
Why wasn't there any articles about ANY of this? Isn't this sort of need to know information for parents? I had to find out from my kid!7 months ago
