lets not forget innocent lives lost due to drone strikes overseas. I believe the term is collateral damage. Jesus would not approve.

Well John Crane.. as educated as you are, maybe you should do a bit more research to form a solid argument. CT had an 'assault' weapon ban. AR's are NOT permitted. Guess what, people own them anyway. Did you know according to the FBI, more people are killed with hammers than rifles? Don't believe me? Look it up. People throw around the term 'gun nuts', but the truth is, gun grabbers are the ones who are nuts, in that they completely ignore logic and facts.
And no, security guards are not expensive, the school district has millions of dollars in their budget, they can manage a guard at every school if they wanted to.4 months ago

"It is the role of city government to grow and expand,..."
Wow, am I glad you are not on the council. The role of city govt is to grow? What is so wrong with just 'existing'? Even our own city attorney suggested that.
The problem today is that no one is content with things as they are.. they (esp in govt) want more more more.
Take care of what you have, improve what you got and appreciate that. Growth will happen if you do that.
What ever happen to govt of, by and for the people? The will of the people was in fact represented by the council. Kudo's to them.5 months ago

can we drop the term "assault" when describing a firearm? Do we say "assault" knife or assault rock? Name the firearm by description. A shotgun is not a rifle and the person would be assaulting, not the firearm. The reporting here needs to be more educated and accurate.
He's lucky he didn't get assaulted running onto someones property with a firearm.5 months ago
