My daughter told me that they gave Mr. Van Zee a nice send off. They held an end of the year assembly which my daughter said was really fun. They also had a slide show, awards, prizes and they gave Mr. Van Zee standing ovation and he had his hair colored pink, blue and green. He is so awesome, my daughter is so upset he is leaving, Hopefully in five years he will still be teaching Spanish at the high school, my daughter will definitly take Spanish. Good luck Mr. Van Zee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!12 months ago
Mr. Van Zee sure is going to be missed!!!!! It really stinks that he was forced out, my kids loved him. He made school fun and really cared about kids. Both of my kids were in his school, the oldest back in 2004 and the youngest this year. He is all my kids talked about. The oldest still says that he was the best Principal ever! I wish him the best of luck in the future!May 11, 2012
I would hope that it would not be for just one week, that they try and crackdown every week, especially during the summer. If they can save one life or prevent one injury, all their efforts will be worth it!Apr 30, 2012
I watched our goverment in action on C-span during the crisis. I agree our goverment is disfunctional, Republicans, Democrats, Tea Party, the world watched and saw that our democracy is not working. Politicians are more worried about themselves and their "party" than doing what is in the best interest of the USA.
I agree we spend too much, but I also believe if oil companys make Billions of profits every quarter, they shouldn't get help or any breaks from the goverment, not when gas prices are as high as they are. I looked up the salaries of our congressmen and women, and the President. We paid George W. Bush 1.5 million dollars to " transition out of the white house. Really? Most congressional leaders make close to $200,000 and 52% of them have a net worth of over 56 million. No wonder they don't want to tax the rich. $400,000 to the President with a retirement of $200,000 a year for the remainder of his life.
I am so glad they are worried about the middle class, that was obvios during the crisis, cut medicare, social security, education and any other benifits to help out the working class so the all mighty wealthy don't have to suffer. I think its time our goverment works for the people, like the founding fathers believed. If you agree, let your congressional members know, either they work for us or we need to vote them out!Sep 1, 2011
