The top 2 percent pay a little over 50% of all income taxes. Stop and think about that for a second. Do you think turning that figure into 60 percent will make any kind of a difference? Comparing the airport to the pool is a perfect example. Both neglected. Both offer tangible and intangible value and benefit to the community but not as easy to explain or understand as a shiny new strip mall. Water park? really? Guess your kids can go to Washington or Sullivan to learn to swim. Or Fly.... Or work....Or see a movie.....Or buy a pair of (new) socks. It's the leadership. The land does not belong to St. Clair. You are not subsidizing our hobby in any way. Is a corporate aircraft a hobby by-the-way? There are no "outsiders" on federal airport property. Are there outsiders on I-44 as they pass through your town? The FAA really wants to know how their....not your....funds were used.
