What happened to the talks with SSM? Was there a reason that they didn't join with PF? Why is PF letting so many workers go, including doctors? (Dr Mary Feth Smith as of recently). IJan 19, 2012
There is a reason that we weren't able to say anything. It's called a federal nvestigation. Just to set the record straight, there were those of us that did go to the authorities & were told to stay quiet & act as if nothing happened. So if I look like a fool for speaking up & going to the authorities, but unable to say anything than sobeit. Dr Morris was a great doctor with a great mind and even better bedside manner. But people change, and unfortunately he made some bad choices. It is a sad situation that I wish had a different outcome.Jan 19, 2012
There are far more details than what are being made to the public. Legitimate medical purposes would include doing the proper testing on patients to see if the pain is treatable, physical therapy, having the patient come in for routine follow ups and tracking the improvement or lack of improvement in patietns pain. Not continuosly giving narcotics in large quantities, that only mask the problems instead of fixing them. Abuse of prescription drugs is out of control & needs to be stopped. The only reason the numbers weren't larger for the number of ILLEGAL pills he prescribed is due to the quick response & investigating my the authorities. What you don't mention is that these are the scripts that were written by Dr Morris “outside the usual course of professional practice and without a legitimate medical purpose.” (ILLEGALLY). These number do not include the scripts that were written with just cause, at least in his professional opinion. You would be suprised if you really knew this doctor. Having worked with him on differnt levels, this behavior was not a shock to me and I highly doubt it was to anyone else that worked with him as well. You might want to know your facts before you go backing up this man, defending him makes you look like as big a fool as he was for this behavior in the first place. Oct 20, 2011
