I think it is great that this is getting attention for the classes. Ham radio operators are making a comeback. My husband acquired his amateur license less than 2 years ago. My son is a radio operator for the Marines, stationed abroad. When he goes inactive, he will need job ideas where his skillset would be a benefit here at home. As our men and women come home, there will be more with that same experience. More attention needs to be on how much we still rely on Ham Radio. Take the tornado in Jopliin for example. Most forms of communication went down with this disaster. It was the emergency Ham Radio operators that established temporary communication in the area. The Missouri Chapter is very organized and do trial run throughs to keep on top of things.10 months ago
I hope they keep it downtown this year. Moving it to the city park last year was a mistake. I preferred when the Cruise Night fell around 4th of July weekend, but pushing it up to June is better than August.12 months ago
