Very well written! The legislators that are elected into office were supposedly charged with representing the constituents that put them there.. this is completely lost on the large portion of ALL politicians. Their own personal beliefs were to be set aside, so that the will of the people would triumph. I fear for the future of our democracy, as elected officials assume self fulfilling mandates based upon the powers WE VOTERS HAVE GRANTED THEM.. Niether/Nor..anyone who attempts to legislate morality should be aware that these 'laws' do nothing to alter basic human behavior. Anyone who has seen those children suffering from an inherited-at-birth drug addiction, or fetal alcohol might think twice about the quality of lives they were 'saving'.5 months ago
