Who has told you the airport isn't for the public ? When the airport was at its best there were airshows for the public, it was used as a fair grounds, Young Eagles flew out of the airport (free rides for kids - donated by the pilots), fly-ins, field trips for classes, people would come out to watch planes come in and go out, etc.. Everyone was welcome. 8 months ago

Two lights are out on the windsock.
All the lights on the north side of the hangar are out.
Domke, whatever happened to truth in reporting. Don't you
have responsibility to your readers?8 months ago
Why should the FAA have to provide documentation for the continued existence of the airport providing any benefit to general aviation, St. Clair entered into a contract to keep and maintain the airport when it took grant money. Your forefathers had more insight into what benefits the town than the current administration.

Don't speak for everyone in St. Clair, If you all didn't want the airport, WHY did you take the grant? The airport only happens to be on St. Clair property. St. Clair doesn't own the airport, the ten and a half million pilots in the United States own it. They PAID for it trough fuel tax.
#4 At one time or another 30 - 40 businesses have used the airportrt, from Walmart to Belmont Trailer Sales. Check your history.
#6 No you don't seem to want those pilots because the city let the airport disinigrate.9 months ago
First of all, Keith, you need to retitle your article. There wasn't just one person filing a complaint against the airport. You would notice that if you paid attention to what you were writing.
Another point: The city administrator sent out a questionaire concerning the airport to everyone in the 63077 zip code, which includes many household outside the city limits How come the tenants of the airport shouldn't have a say in what happens to the airport, when questionaires concerning the airport was sent to people who do not live in St. Clair?
Point 3: If the city would have rented out the hangers, they wouldn't have lost money.10 months ago
