Ignorance prevailed!! It is planly clear non of the critics truly educated themselves on the bond proposal!
Shellyg- the high school would have been completely air conditioned with the approval. The school district has no authority over what property is deemed a flood hazard! Duh! It is illegal for a school district to use tax payer money on a building that has been deemed a flood hazard. This includes any remodeling ( adding classrooms). Fifth street is land locked. Should they eliminate the playground to add on? Get real!
Romulus- past mistakes made by past administrations! "Current scare tactics" - you mean the truth? Obviously you have never toured any buildings in the district! "Massive scope of the project" - because it's been 20 years since the last increase!! Have you survived on the same income for the past 20 years??
washcitizen- yes our parents were educated in these same buildings but our kids and future children are not learning at the pace of our ancestors! Home schooled children have a teacher/student ratio of what 1:???. Anyone can learn well with one on one attention!! Duh.
HansMoleman- has no clue what the "district" needs. Your view on southpoint- pick a side. Is it bad or not?? You say no but "if it is it should be closed". And where do you suggest those hundreds of students go?? Duh.
Alisha- it's called a "public school" for a reason. It accepts all students paid for by the public. If you don't like that I think you'll need to find a new country!! Good luck! Duh.
I can't wait to hear all the naysayers complain when the district has to waste money with the purchase of trailers. When our outstanding district accreditation goes down because of terrible classroom learning environment. When our property values continue to decline. And when successful new families shy away from moving to our town because of it's lack of support for the public school system!! Shame is putting it politely! SHAME ON YOU WASHINGTON!!!!!Apr 4, 2012
