It's funny how everyone including the media wants to blame the union that struck for the end of Hostess, but froget to report how the top executives all took huge pay raises just before the bankrupcy started. The CEO took a pay raise from 750k to 2.5million. What did the union workers get at the same time they were getting their raises? The unions got all their pensions froze asnthe company quite paying into them. So if you wanna blame the unions for something, blame them for this not happening in September of 2011!!!!!!!!6 months ago
This road is NOT even in Franklin county, so how can you blame a county that has no say on the road. I know you are hurting, but that is ridiculous!!! Hopefully atleast that part of this ignorant lawsuit will be dismissed.6 months ago
Let's hope the Parks Department does a better job of cutting the grass for the Freedom Festival then they did for tge Father's Day Car Show, o wait, it wasn't cut. Come on, that was embarrasing. You have a lot of people feom out of town there for this event and you can't even cut the grass? Let me guess, the chair in the work shop needed to be firmly placed on the ground. Have some pride for the town!!

It's about time they put a light there and get rid of the idiot holding the stop sign! That guy only has one goal, let the school buses through. God forbid he try and clean up the multiple traffic congestions he causes by stopping traffic for as long as he does. What they forget to mention in this article is the USELESS sidewalk that will now span from high school drive to hwy pp, what a waste of taxpayer money, I mean really there is a whole 3 kids that walk that way to school and back, the rest of the time iy's going to go un traveled, kinda like the sidewalk they put in Pacific along Osage. Just saying.11 months ago
If a spray park doesn't require a staff, then how does it eventually turn a profit? The city has to make money. I don't people will put money in a coffee can to run through sprinklers. Why not get up-to-date like EVERY OTHER TOWN around that has a decent parks department and pool????????????11 months ago
Like who? The son that tried to buy time while his wife called the police so it would end peacefully. What you should be asking is why it took over 100 officers using two helicopters, one with heat seeking technolgy almost two days to catch someone in an area no bigger than a three mile radius.May 7, 2012
They must not have been too worried about the chance if having more victims being that they allowed people to drive golf carts around the subdivision and kids to play outside while the lake was on "Lock Down". Apr 26, 2012
Why is the Friday night league charged more than the church league? That doesn't make sense. There is also some incorrect information in this article, it says the Friday night league was charged $125 two years ago, it has always paid $150 per team. Also how did they come to the logic of 65ft base paths? Did they look to see what the sanctioned leagurs use? Just saying.Feb 17, 2012
You know it's wonderful to have a person like northenrepublican on here to point out all the faults of a town. But how is the number of labs in St. Clair in the last month are less than the numbers found in Union, Pacific, and Washington? Just last week there was one in Pacific, or was it two, and one found in Washington. Maybe the problem isn't with the ordinances or laws but with the coverage in the news about it. If you want to make a real impact on it stop giving these users/cooks slaps on the hand and give them real punishment. Case-in-point, the lab found in Pacific was being run by the same people and in the same house as a lab busted in February. How is that right?Jul 12, 2011

When's that last time a meth head got your kid to OD on the first use? Heroin isn't the fastest growing drug in the midwest for no reason at all. Here's another question for you, who is going to pay my $200 initial copay the first time i get a head cold and have to get a prescription for an Over- the-counter drug that coast 12 bucks. Maybe I'll send the bill to Grellner since he wants this passed SOOO bad.Jul 8, 2011
