It seems Mr. Riegel is barking up the wrong tree when blaming the federal goverment for giving the city of Washington a grant for its highway 100 project. Blame the city, not the federal goverment. Blame the local Tea Party, for not protesting "big goverment." Blame your fellow city and county residents who abhor federal intrusion, (except when it comes to handouts).
Speaking of handouts, the city of Labadie is also getting 80 percent of a $1 million dollar project funded by none other than our federal goverment.
So Mr. Riegel, while you are having issues with how DC allocates its funds, I suggest the first plsce you should go to would be your local politicians who requested the funds.6 months ago
