Two people were hurt in a three-vehicle crash on Highway 50 at Oak Grove School Road Friday, March 9.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol Preliminary report, Ronald Scheper, 18, Gerald, was driving a 2014 Dodge Avenger westbound on Highway 50 when his vehicle struck the back of a 2001 Dodge Durango being driven by David Douglas, 45, Union. The vehicle was stopped waiting to make a left turn.
The impact from the crash pushed the Durango into the path of a 2015 Peterbilt Conventional tractor-trailer being driven eastbound by Richard McDevitt, 50, St. Louis.
Scheper and Douglas both were transported by Meramec Ambulance to Mercy Hospital Washington with moderate injuries. Neither were wearing a seat belt, according to the patrol.
McDevitt was wearing a seat belt.
