Swarming Defense

It took 25 hours and 52 minutes for the Union Wildcats (1-2) to get their first win of the season 12-0 over the Sullivan Eagles (0-3) Saturday night.

The game had started Friday night, but was suspended due to lightning late in the first quarter.

Union used two touchdown passes from Derek Hulsey to Eli Klenke and Peyton Burke along with a swarming defense to secure their first win.

Longtime football coach Del Rinne was recognized by having the field at Stierberger Stadium named in his honor prior to kickoff Friday.
