Sullivan took another step toward at least sharing the Four Rivers Conference title with a 55-27 win over the New Haven Lady Shamrocks.

Sullivan improved to 19-4 overall and 4-1 in the Four Rivers Conference. New Haven dropped to 14-9 overall, 2-4 in the league.

Sullivan led 16-3 after one quarter and never looked back. It was 34-15 at the half.

Clare Shetley led Sullivan in scoring with 14 points. Mallory Shetley also reached double digits with 12 points. Bria Jones and Katie Creek each scored six points.

“We shot the ball really well to start the game,” Sullivan Head Coach Jason Merkel said. “We had five players hit threes. We really played good defense too.”

New Haven Head Coach Doug Peirick credited Sullivan.

“Sullivan played a really good game last night on both ends of the court,” Peirick said. “They shot the ball really well the first half and forced us into taking contested shots all night long. I don’t think we matched their intensity and it showed in the outcome of the game.”

Mackenzie Bauer led New Haven in scoring with eight points.
