Pool play for the Four Rivers Varsity Baseball Classic will begin on the first possible date for the spring season.

The first round of games takes place Friday, March 16. Other pool play rounds will be played between March 19-22.

New Haven, Rolla and St. Clair will play each other in Pool A.

Pool B will be comprised of Hermann, Pacific and Wright City.

Pool C includes Montgomery County, St. James and Sullivan.

Washington, Owensville and Festus face each other in Pool D.

Each team will play one road game and one home game in pool play.

On March 16, New Haven plays at St. Clair in Pool A at 4:30 p.m, Wright City plays at Pacific at 4:30 p.m. from Pool B and in Pool C, Montgomery County plays at St. James at 5 p.m.

The following Monday, March 19, all games start at 4:30 p.m. Pool A resumes with St. Clair at Rolla, Pool B features Hermann at Wright City and Pool D gets underway with Festus at Owensville.

On March 20, all games start at 4:30 p.m. Pools A and B both conclude with Rolla at New Haven and Pacific at Hermann. Pool C resumes with St. James at Sullivan and Pool D continues with Washington at Festus.

The only game on March 21 features the conclusion of Pool C with Sullivan at Montgomery County at 4:30 p.m.

Pool play concludes with the Pool D finale on March 22 as Owensville plays at Washington at 4:30 p.m.

The top team from each pool will advance to the tournament semifinals on Saturday, March 24, which will be hosted by the Pool C winner.

The second place team from each pool will gather to play at the host site of the second-place finisher from Pool C.

All third-place teams in pool play will play the final two games at the site of the third-place finisher from Pool C.

The Pool A and Pool C representatives will meet in the first round of interbracket play at 9:30 a.m. followed by the Pool B and Pool D teams at 12 p.m.

Tird-place games will beplayed at  2:15 p.m.

The winners of the early games Saturday play for the titles at 4:30 p.m.
