Hitting the road for the first time this season, the Union Swim Team was stopped by a different opponent Monday.

Union (0-3) was scheduled to swim at Arbor Oaks. However, the pool was not in service and the meet had to be called off.

Colleen Mueller of the Union Swim Team board reported mechanical and electrical issues at the Arbor Oaks facility in Ballwin forced the meet to be called off. Mueller said Thursday the meet will not be made up.

It’s the second week in a row Arbor Oaks has had difficulties getting a meet in. The team started its dual meet at Washington Monday, June 25, but it was called before enough events were completed to be made official due to thunderstorms in the area.

Union will visit Pacific to close out the regular schedule Monday at 6 p.m. All Gateway Swimming and Diving League Spitz Division teams will return to Pacific Saturday, July 14. The meet will begin at 7 a.m.
