The Lady Indians are playing on in Class 4 District 11.

Osage (21-6) repeated as district champion for the second year in a row by beating Rolla (13-14) in Friday’s district championship game, 46-40.

The Lady Indians reached the finals with a 58-50 semifinal win against Salem (12-15).

Salem previously eliminated Owensville (8-18) in the first round, 58-43.

Rolla first knocked out Eldon (8-17) in the first round of the tournament, 58-41, before upsetting No. 2 Helias, 45-40, in the semifinals.

Osage led at every interval, going up 12-10 after the first quarter, 27-25 at halftime and 37-32 at the end of the third period.

Carson Wood led the Lady Indians with 12 points.

Kenzie King added 10 points for Osage.

Kerrigan Gamm netted eight points.

Rose Colonius and Sara Wolf each contributed seven points for Osage.

Payton Good rounded out the Lady Indians’ scoresheet with two points.

For Rolla, Rebecca Janke and Ellie Rodgers led the team in scoring with 10 points apiece.

Other Lady Bulldogs’ scorers included Kianna Garner with eight points and Loran Pritchett and Karlee Cheesman with six points each.

Osage advances to play the District 12 champion, Nevada (18-8) in Tuesday’s sectional round at Sedalia Smith-Cotton at 6 p.m.
