Ft. Zumwalt South might have won the GAC Central, but it was Washington Head Coach Josh Ohm who was honored as the conference’s Coach of the Year.

Ohm guided the Blue Jays to the Class 3 District 1 championship and eight of his wrestlers qualified for the state meet. 

The Blue Jays had six wrestlers earn spots on the all-GAC team. 

Alec Holtmeyer was the top wrestler at 220 pounds in the conference, while Cody Hey (113 pounds), Joe Omer (120), Tommy Kelpe (126), Calvin Obermark (132) and Conner Muller (285) all earned second-team honors. 

Zumwalt South’s Cameron Rudy earned the Wrestler of the Year award at 126 pounds.
