Before the St. Louis Blues head onto the ice on Thursday, March 8, to take on the San Jose Sharks, fans will be celebrating the storied history of the team at Neighborhood Reads bookstore in Washington.
Author Dan O’Neill will be at the bookstore that evening to share his comprehensive new book, “When the Blues Go Marching In: An Illustrated Timeline of St. Louis Blues Hockey.”
“When the Blues Go Marching In” celebrates the first 50 years of the St. Louis Blues, through early expansion team nights, through dramatic ups and downs, through the ongoing quest to capture an elusive Stanley Cup championship.
O’Neill, an award-winning feature writer and columnist at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch for 32 years, will give a presentation on the Blues and sign copies of his book from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 8, at Neighborhood Reads bookstore.
O’Neill is also the author of four other books, including “St. Louis Cardinals Fans Bucket List,” “Sportsman’s Park: The Players, The Fans and The Game,” Busch Stadium: “Moments” and “Stan Musial: Baseball’s Perfect Knight.”
Copies of the “When the Blues Go Marching In: An Illustrated Timeline of St. Louis Blues Hockey,” are available at Neighborhood Reads, 401 Lafayette St., Washington.
