For the second time in just 14 days, the Lady Jays again bested Affton in dual swim action.

In a rematch of a Jan. 17 meeting, Washington returned to Affton and won 104-65, taking first place in all but three events.

Washington’s event winners included

• 200 medley relay — Aubrie Moreland, Maddy Tchiblakian, McKenzie Dohm and Hannah Struckhoff in 2:31.00;

• 200 freestyle — Moreland at 2:12.78;

• 50 freestyle — Struckhoff in 27.63;

• 100 freestyle — Struckhoff at 1:04.36;

• 500 freestyle — Moreland in 6:01.75;

• 100 backstroke — Dohm at 1:14.43;

• 100 breaststroke — Tchiblakian in 1:24.80; and

• 400 freestyle relay — Struckhoff, Moreland, Tchiblakian and Dohm in 4:22.61.

Finishing in second place for the Lady Jays were

• 200 freestyle — Holly Hoerstkamp in 2:48.00;

• 200 individual medley — Dohm at 2:48.12;

• 100 butterfly — Mikala Brune in 1:27.10;

• 500 freestyle — Brune at 7:06.73; and

• 200 freestyle relay — Tchiblakian, Kylee Perriman, Olivia Diederich and Jenna Loepker in 2:06.45.

The Lady Jays concluded their dual schedule against Borgia Friday and have one last meet, the Gateway Athletic Conference Championships on Feb. 5-7, before the state championships.
