Powered by a pair of double-doubles, St. Clair Lady Bulldogs basketball won decisively on the road Wednesday.
St. Clair (2-0) defeated Villa Duchesne (0-2), 65-18.
The Lady Bulldogs dominated the early going, building a 28-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. The score stood at 42-2 going into the intermission.
St. Clair relented on defense in the third quarter, allowing Villa Duchesne to put up 10 points as the Lady Bulldogs took a 55-12 lead into the final period.
Gracie Sohn led the team in scoring with 18 points and also pulled down 12 rebounds with one steal and one blocked shot.
Alohilani Bursey also recorded a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. She added two steals, one assist and one blocked shot.
Haley Buscher knocked through 12 points, adding one rebound, one steal and one blocked shot.
Hannah Machelett was the fourth Lady Bulldog to get into double figures scoring with 10 points, adding four rebounds and two steals.
Alana Hinson netted eight points with seven rebounds, two assists, two steals and one blocked shot.
Ally Newton rounded out the St. Clair scoring with one point. Newton also grabbed one steal.
Erin York picked up four rebounds with one steal.
Annabelle Coonse recorded one rebound.
Katie Rodrigues led Villa Duchesne with 11 points.
Maria Adamitis and Mollie Griesedieck scored three points each and Maggie Ignaczak added one point.
The Lady Bulldogs are next in action Thursday at the Stephanie Phillips Classic, hosted by Kickapoo. St. Clair will play Nixa, Kickapoo and Springfield Parkview at the event, which runs through Saturday.
