CAPE GIRARDEAU — Both area teams playing in the MSHSAA Volleyball Championships ended the season with wins Saturday.

Hermann defeated Arcadia Valley to win its 13th state title, 25-21, 21-25, 25-17.

Allison Stiers recorded 14 kills, 23 digs and 17 assists to lead Hermann to the title.

Borgia won the Class 3 third-place match over Pleasant Hill, 25-18, 25-18. It was Andrea Beaty’s 100th win as Borgia’s head coach.

Grace Struttmann led Borgia with nine kills in the final match.

Hermann went 2-0-1 in pool play Friday, splitting with Arcadia Valley.

Borgia beat Pleasant Hill, lost to Logan-Rogersville and split with Lutheran South to set up a playoff match in pool play Friday night. Lutheran South won the playoff set, 25-19.
