The field at Potosi featured two medalists from Pacific.
Will Green and Katie Prada both finished fifth individually in the annual Potosi Cross Country Invitational Saturday. The Pacific boys were fourth in the team standings with 153 points and the girls eighth with 188.
Jefferson City won the boys race with 30 points, followed by Herculaneum (56) and Cape Notre Dame (93) in the top three. Steelville finished fifth with 161 points. Cape Notre Dame’s Blake Morris was the fastest to finish in 16:30.27.
On the girls side, Farmington took first place with 68 points. De Soto (72), Cape Notre Dame (91), Herculaneum (98) and Potosi (121) also got into the top five. Herculaneum’s Nautica Stricklin won the girls race in 20:51.91.
Following Green for the Indians in the boys race were Noah Benzabeh (27, 19:21.26), Collin Haley (33rd, 19:26.31), Brayden Van Meter (46th, 9:47.06), Benjamin Brunjes (48th, 19:52), Dylan Mooney (87th, 21:44.8) and Dylan Smith (96th, 23:06.66).
Riley Vaughn was the second finisher for the Lady Indians, coming in 37th place in 23:53.58.
Jenna Anding finished 43rd in 24:15.37, Aubrey Harris 47th in 24:33.6, Tegan Monnig 75th in 28:31.55 and Cori O’Neill 77th in 28:53.01.
