Jake Erwin and Alex Severino each scored twice as the Borgia soccer Knights (8-4) won a wild contest in Warrenton Monday, 6-2.

Erwin also added an assist while one of Severino’s goals was the game winner.

Kevin Birk and Adam Meyer also netted goals for the Knights.

Alex Smith had two assists while Zac Howell, Ben Kang and Aaron Piontek each had one assist.

Joe Schuler made eight saves in goal for the Knights.

Borgia took a 2-0 lead in the first half, but the scoring really picked up after the intermission.

Borgia scored four times and Warrenton put the ball into the net twice.

“In the last third of the season, we usually turn our training focus away from defending and possession, and toward attacking,” said Borgia Head Coach Grant Kang. “The team started this process over the weekend after our game against Union, and their hard work gave immediate results. We stayed very organized on our attack, resulting in our highest scoring total of the season.”
