Volleyball Lady Bulldogs Win Match Over Bourbon

St. Clair registered a home volleyball victory Monday over Bourbon, 25-18, 25-15.

The Lady Bulldogs (2-13-1, 0-2) return to Four Rivers Conference action with contests Tuesday at Union and Thursday at St. James before hosting the St. Clair Tournament Saturday starting at 8:30 a.m.

“The girls played great. They came out ready to play some volleyball and win. They accomplished their goal,” said St. Clair Head Coach Ashley Mims. “It was a great way to start homecoming week.”

Sam Deason finished the match with 10 kills for the Lady Bulldogs. Kayla Klenke registered six kills.

Emily Rogers had 14 assists. Miranda Murphy added two assists.

Allison Hinson served seven points. Sharon Wagner and Macy Levvintre both had four digs.

St. Clair lost last Thursday to Crystal City, 25-21, 12-25, 25-20.

Deason finished the match with nine kills for St. Clair. Levvintre added five kills.

Emily Rogers collected 12 assists. Hinson registered six digs. Wagner added three digs.

Camdenton Tournament

St. Clair played four matches Saturday, Sept. 22, at the Camdenton Tournament, registering an 0-3-1 record.

The short-handed Lady Bulldogs split with Warrensburg and suffered losses to Willard and Camdenton  in pool play contests. They were then eliminated with a loss to Owensville in bracket play.

“I was proud of the girls,” Mims said. “Both of my setters were out with injuries and the girls still competed all day.”

St. Clair split with Warrensburg, 25-22, 11-25.

Deason led the Lady Bulldogs in kills with five. Klenke finished with two blocks.

Abby Ruck, a freshman setter, ended with six assists.

Wagner served five points. Hinson had three digs.

St. Clair then suffered a loss to Willard, 25-11, 25-18.

Deason finished the match with four kills. Levvintre smashed three kills.

Hinson and Wagner both collected three digs.

Ruck added seven assists. Klenke served four points.

The Lady Bulldogs ended pool play with a loss to Camdenton, 25-20, 25-15.

Klenke ended the contest with four kills. Deason had three kills.

Ruck finished with five assists.

Wagner added four digs. Hinson had three points. Levvintre had one block.

St. Clair was eliminated with a loss to Owensville in bracket play, 25-13, 25-11.

Ruck finished the match with five assists.

Deason collected three kills. Klenke added two kills. Hinson had three digs.
