Parrish, Hogenmiller in Missouri Amateur Championship

A pair of Washington High School graduates are playing golf this week at the 2012 Missouri Amateur Championship at Dalhousie Golf Club in Cape Girardeau.

Competing in the annual tournament are Andy Hogenmiller and Hunter Parrish. The first two rounds determined the top 64 golfers to compete in a match play format.

Hogenmiller and Parrish both advanced to match play.

In the opening round of match play, Parrish defeated Ted Moloney of Ballwin in 22 holes.

Hogenmiller lost to Kevin Kring of Springfield by a 3 and 2 score.

Parrish was scheduled to meet Jace Long of Dixon in the round of 32 on Friday morning.

The round of 16 matches took place Friday afternoon.

The tournament is scheduled to continue through the final round Sunday.
