Golfing Monday at Birch Creek Golf Club, the Owensville Dutchmen claimed victory in a three-team Four Rivers Conference meet.

Owensville scored 170. St. Clair was second at 175 and Union finished third at 192.

Zane West of the Dutchmen was the meet medalist, shooting 38.

Consistency helped Owensville claim the title. Other Owensville golfers were Doug Hudnall, Dustin Kyle and Blake Mehrhoff each at 44 and Tanner Jackson at 53.

St. Clair was led by Matt Gordon at 42. Kyle Juergens and Colbie Viessman each shot 44. Brandon York closed at 45 and Ben Bardot carded 51.

“This was the best team effort we’ve had all year,” said St. Clair Coach Casey Korn. “Our kids continue to improve each outing. We are becoming more and more consistent hitting to the green and putting with each match.”

Union was paced by Hinako Kishimoto once again. She shot 43 in the event.

Brennan Higgins was next at 47, Alex Gaebe shot 48, Jobie Richardson closed at 54 and Braxton Hoemann carded a round of 66.
