Pacific stepped out of conference play and cruised to a pair of girls basketball home victories.

The Lady Indians (11-3) won games Tuesday over Rockwood Summit 56-43 and Wednesday over Parkway West, 61-26.

Pacific is seeded third for next week’s Lindbergh Tournament, opening against sixth-seeded Lindbergh Tuesday at 7 p.m.

St. Charles is the top seed followed by Sullivan, Pacific, Ladue, Oakville, Lindbergh, Northwest and Soldan.

A complete tournament schedule can be found at www.emissourian.com.

“We are going to have to really step up for the Lindbergh Tournament next week,” said Pacific Head Coach Josh Spuhl. “We are 11-3 and the three seed. That shows how tough the tournament is.”

Rockwood Summit

Pacific jumped to a 17-5 lead after one quarter against Rockwood Summit.

The Lady Indians led 25-19 at halftime and 39-29 after three quarters.

“We came out rolling against Summit. We were able to control the first quarter,” Spuhl said. “We let up in the second and third quarters and let them back in the game. We played strong enough down the stretch to hold them off.”

Kya Hill led three Lady Indians in double figures with 16 points and four rebounds. She was 6-6 from the free-throw line.

Ellen Rogers finished the game with 13 points, seven rebounds and four assists.

Lizzy Almo collected 12 points, five assists and four rebounds.

Abby Spuhl pitched in with eight points.

Ashley Hill registered three points and five steals.

Meagan Wakefield had two points, five rebounds and three steals. Hunter Kelemen also scored two points.

“Ellen Rogers played great for us. She was all over the place. She held their leading scorer to six points,” Spuhl said. “Kya also had a great game. Our defense picked up at the end of the game.”

Haley Naum led Summit (6-9) with 14 points.

Parkway West

Pacific returned the next night to crush Parkway West (6-10).

“The girls played great for all four quarters. Our defense was awesome in the first half. We held them to eight points,” Spuhl said. “Our balanced attack was too much for them. We played really smart. We are starting to throw some new things in the mix.”

Almo led the Lady Indians with 21 points.

“Lizzy had a big game for us,” Spuhl said. “She attacked the basket really well.”

Kya Hill finished the game with 11 points. Ashley Hill scored 10 points.

Wakefield and Kelemen both netted six points.

Spuhl scored four points. Karlie King had three points.
