Union Goes 6-3 in Duals at Hillsboro Wrestling Event

Ending the 2012 portion of the season, the Union wrestling Wildcats went 6-3 in the Hillsboro Tournament Friday and Saturday.

Union defeated Webster Groves, 42-42, winning on criteria (most first points scored).

Union’s winners were Jordan Nowak (126), Alex Gaebe (138), Devon Fennessey (145), Cody Pace (152), Jake Siddens (160), Dalton Kuenzel (170) and Isaac Femmer (106).

Nowak, Pace and Kuenzel won by pins. The others won via walkovers.

The Wildcats defeated North County, 60-18.

Union’s winners were Tyler Pace (120), Nowak (126), Gaebe (138), Fennessey (145), Cody Pace (152), Siddens (160), Kuenzel (170), Kody Thurman (182), Joe Lasky (285) and Femmer (106).

Gaebe, Cody Pace, Siddens, Kuenzel and Lasky each won by pins. The others won by walkovers.

Union defeated St. Mary’s 57-24.

Winners were Tyler Pace (120), Nowak (126), Dalton Fennessey (132), Gaebe (138), Devon Fennessey (145), Cody Pace (152), Siddens (160), Kuenzel (170), Thurman (182) and Lasky (285).

Gaebe, Devon Fennessey, Siddens and Thurman won by pins. Kuenzel won by decision. The others won on walkovers.

Union defeated Windsor, 42-24.

Union’s winners were Gaebe (138), Devon Fennessey (145), Cody Pace (152), Kuenzel (170), Lasky (285), Femmer (106) and Tyler Pace (120).

Gaebe, Devon Fennessey, Cody Pace, Kuenzel and Lasky won by pins. The other winners were by walkovers.

The Wildcats edged Western Heights, Okla., 40-38. The actual meet score was 40-39, but Western Heights was penalized a team point for sportsmanship.

Union’s winners were Gaebe (138), Devon Fennessey (145), Cody Pace (152), Siddens (160), Kuenzel (170), Lasky (285) and Tyler Pace (120).

Gaebe, Devon Fennessey, Cody Pace, Siddens, Kuenzel and Joe Lasky each won by pins. Tyler Pace won by a major decision.

Union edged Hillsboro, 37-36.

Union’s winners were Nowak (126), Gaebe (138), Devon Fennessey (145), Cody Pace (152), Siddens (160), Kuenzel (170) and Femmer (106).

Nowak and Femmer won by pins. Kuenzel won by a major decision. Gaebe won by a decision. The other three won by walkovers.

Union lost to De Soto 51-30.

Union’s winners were Tyler Pace (120), Gaebe (138), Fennessey (145), Cody Pace (152) and Kuenzel (170).

Gaebe, Fennessey, Cody Pace and Kuenzel won by pins.

The Wildcats fell to Pacific, 45-24.

Union’s winners were Nowak (126), Devon Fennessey (145), Cody Pace (152) and Lasky (285).

And Union lost to Ft. Zumwalt South, 41-22.

Union’s winners were Tyler Pace (120), Gaebe (138), Cody Pace (152), Kuenzel (170) and Lasky (285).

Kuenzel and Lasky won by pins. Gaebe won by a major decision.

Tyler Pace and Cody Pace won by decisions.
