Two of the area's three district champions in Classes 4 and 5 advanced to the quarterfinals Wednesday night.

In Rolla, Borgia's boys (20-8) got a last-second shot from senior Jordan Miller to defeat Hillcrest in Class 4 sectional action, 47-45.

Miller also hit a long three to end the first quarter.

Borgia will face Republic (27-4) Saturday at Drury University in the quarterfinals. The game will tip off at 1 p.m.

Sullivan's girls (24-4) defeated Bolivar in Rolla, 51-41.

Sullivan trailed Bolivar 9-2 in the first quarter, came back to lead by as much as 11 points, watched that lead shrink to two and then jumped back on top by 10 by the end of the game.

Sullivan will play Webb City (23-5) Saturday at 2:45 p.m. at Drury University in the quarterfinals.

Washington (19-10) nearly pulled off one of the biggest upsets of the postseason against Hickman (25-2).

The Blue Jays sent the Class 5 sectional at Camdenton into overtime, but lost to the Kewpies, 53-49.
