Starting a full afternoon and evening of Washington Town and Country Fair pulling action at the RA-Comm Security Motor Sports Arena, two classes of garden tractors competed Friday, Aug. 9.

Clayton Lyon was the winner in Class 1 with a pull of 135.04 feet.

Hayden Schoenfeld secured second with a pull of 131.91 feet. Seth Kloppe was third with a distance of 121.37 feet. Connor Light finished fourth with a pull of 120.60 feet. Brendon Kloppe was fifth with a distance of 114.26 feet. Jared Lamke was sixth with 97.39 feet, Allison Bright was seventh with 94.89 feet and Ethan Boland was eighth with 53.41 feet.

Class 1 participants were age 16 or under with a factory stock tractor with up to 20 horsepower and 1,150 pounds.

Light won the Class 2 competition with a pull of 132.16 feet.

Austin Jasper was second with a pull of 121.77 feet. Zach Jasper was third with a pull of 119.32 feet. Donald Mueller finished fourth at 85.88 feet. Dylan Boland was fifth with 82.76 feet, Lucy Urban was sixth with 73.70 feet and Sophia Landwehr was seventh with 51.32 feet.

Class 2 participants were age 16 or under with a tractor up to 8 horsepower and 1,000 pounds.
