League champion Washington High School had three players named to the Gateway Athletic Conference Central Division all-conference girls basketball team.
The league’s head coaches made first- and second-team selections.
Representing the Lady Jays on the all-conference team were Courtney Kedroski, Paige Carpenter and Kirstie Leslie.
Kedroski, a 5-7 junior guard, was named to the first team. She averaged 12.6 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.9 steals per game this season.
Carpenter, a 5-8 freshman guard, was a second-team pick. She averaged 9.2 points and 2.2 rebounds per contest.
Leslie, a 5-11 senior forward, was a second-team selection. She averaged 6.3 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.
Joining Kedroski on the GAC Central first team were Ft. Zumwalt North senior Shelby Bateman, Ft. Zumwalt East senior Mallori Hellrich, Ft. Zumwalt South senior Claire Johnson and Holt freshman Melyk Taouil.
On the second team with Carpenter and Leslie were Ft. Zumwalt North senior Sydney Boxell, Ft. Zumwalt South junior Madison German, Ft. Zumwalt South sophomore Abby Modaff, Holt senior Kami Taouil and Ft. Zumwalt East freshman Brittany Tackett.
Kaitlin Evans represented Washington on the GAC Central sportsmanship team.
Washington players named to the GAC Central all-academic team were Megan Bauche, Megan Freitag, Rachel Kackley, Alex Ready, Katie Trigg, Hannah Leslie, Kirstie Leslie, Carpenter, Evans and Kedroski.
Washington won the GAC Central title with a 7-1 record.
Ft. Zumwalt South finished second at 5-3 followed by Holt at 4-4, Ft. Zumwalt North at 4-4 and Ft. Zumwalt East at 0-8.
