Blake Hulsey had a hand in all seven of Union’s touchdowns to lead his team to a 49-21 Four Rivers Conference victory Friday at St. Clair High School.

Hulsey, the Wildcats’ junior quarterback,  threw four touchdown passes and rushed for three more  as Union improved to 3-2 overall and 2-1 in the FRC.

One of Hulsey’s four touchdown passes was a 98-yard strike to Jake Siddens early in the fourth quarter, which put the game away.

Siddens had two touchdown catches for Union.

St. Clair (2-3, 1-2) got two touchdowns from Alex Miller, including an 80-yard kickoff return for a score in the second quarter.

The Wildcats held a 12-0 lead after one quarter on a pair of touchdown passes from Hulsey to Logan Bellamy for 12 yards and to Siddens for 41 yards.

St. Clair outscored Union  21-16 in a high-scoring second quarter.

The Bulldogs got on the scoreboard on a five-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Collin Scott to Alex Miller, making the score 12-7.

Union responded on a 10-yard touchdown run by Hulsey to increase its advantage to 20-7 with 5:43 remaining in the second quarter.

Miller then returned the ensuing kickoff 80 yards for a touchdown, pulling St. Clair to within 20-14 with 5:27 left in the second quarter.

Hulsey then tossed his third touchdown pass of the first half, a 16-yard play to Jacob Carman, making the score 28-14 with 2:15 left in the second quarter.

The Bulldogs came right back and scored on an 11-yard touchdown pass from Scott to Kevin Cox with 42 seconds remaining until halftime.

Union held a 28-21 lead at halftime.

The Wildcats took control of the game in the second half.

Hulsey scored on a one-yard touchdown run to make the score 35-21 with 8:07 left in the third quarter.

The play of the game for the Wildcats then came when Hulsey launched a long pass from his end zone, which was caught by Siddens around midfield, and raced for a score, going for a 98-yard touchdown play with 10:25 left in the fourth quarter to make the score 42-21.

Hulsey added a 28-yard touchdown run with 8:23 remaining in the fourth quarter, increasing the lead to 49-21.
