After finishing second in the Missouri Rugby Union Division III playoffs, the Franklin County Crimson is gearing up for its fall season.

The team starts practices Thursday in Washington. Practices at the field at Ninth and International will run every Tuesday and Thursday starting at 6 p.m.

Team representative Bart Haddox stated the team’s goals this season are to improve its record, win the state title and move into the Western Territory playoffs.

The Crimson has seven matches and one tournament scheduled for this fall.

The first home match is set for Sept. 15 against the Sunday Morning Rugby Football Club of St. Louis.

On Sept. 22, the Crimson hosts the St. Louis Royals.

Franklin County hits the road to play at the St. Louis Hornets Sept. 29.

The Columbia Outlaws visit Franklin County Oct. 6.

On Oct. 13, the Scorpions from Cape Girardeau come to Franklin County.

The team closes with road matches at the St. Louis Bombers Oct. 27, at the St. Louis Royals Nov. 3 and at the Arkansas Tournament in Little Rock Nov. 10.
