Finishing out a perfect run through the Archdiocesan Athletic Association Large Division, the Borgia Lady Knights (22-2, 8-0) rolled past Rosati-Kain Friday on Senior Night, 58-33.
Borgia already had clinched its second consecutive AAA Large Division crown prior to Friday’s game, but the victory gave Borgia its first-ever unbeaten league title.
“We completed the sweep in the AAA conference with the win over Rosati-Kain,” Borgia Head Coach Stacia Parsell said. “It was a great night of celebration. We recognized the seniors and their contribution to the program.”
Borgia’s two seniors, Emily Grahl and Janie Arand, were honored prior to the event.
“Emily Grahl and Janie Arand have been outstanding leaders,” said Parsell. “Both have played on the varsity for four years. They have been a part of so many special moments. It has been incredible to walk in to the gym for four years knowing that Emily and Janie were going to be there each day. They are true models of what we expect from our players on and off the court.”
