Wrestling for the second time this season, St. Clair dropped to 1-1 in dual meets with a 48-33 home loss Thursday to De Soto.
“I thought we wrestled well. We were aggressive, but we made too many little mistakes that cost us a couple of matches,” said St. Clair Head Coach Brent Yule. “De Soto is a very tough team this year with multiple returning state qualifiers. We still have a lot of work to do.”
St. Clair claimed six of the 13 contested matches.
Winning contested matches for the Bulldogs were:
• 106 — Brady Lindsey pinned Dan McEntire;
• 113 — Kris Heembrock pinned Alex Waggoner;
• 145 — Guy Hopper won by decision over Wes Waggoner, 11-4;
• 170 — Dustin Conner pinned Conner Bothell;

• 220 — Matt Gordon pinned Frank Kerbler.
