You’re going to have to go to Illinois this weekend if you want to see the Missouri Cyclones minor league football team in action.
The Cyclones (2-1) are coming off a 48-18 win over the Evansville Enforcers in Great Midwest Football League action last Saturday in Warrenton.
The team plays its next two games on the road, starting with Saturday’s game against the East Side Justice. That event has been changed to North End Park in Belleville at 3 p.m.
After taking a week off, the team will return to action Saturday, July 7, at Parkway Central High School against the River City Eclipse.
The Cyclones have three regular season games set for their current home field at Borgia. That includes back-to-back Saturday home games against the Illinois Blitzing Cowboys July 14 and the Gateway Hawks July 21.
Kickoff both nights will be 6 p.m. and there will be a $5 admission charge for spectators 13 and over.
The Cyclones visit Evansville, Ind., July 28 to take on the Enforcers for a second time. Kickoff at F.J. Reitz High School is 7 p.m.
The final home regular season game will be Saturday, Aug. 4, against the Eastside Justice. Kickoff at Borgia will be 6 p.m.
The final regular season game will be at Mehlville High School Saturday, Aug. 11, against the Midwest Chargers. The Chargers won a 15-10 game over the Cyclones at Borgia June 9. Kickoff for the regular season finale will be 6 p.m.
After that, the Cyclones will enter the GMFL playoffs. Missouri is the defending league champion.
