For the second year in a row, the Missouri Cyclones minor league football team will call Washington home.

The Cyclones made the Great Midwest Football League championship game last season before losing.

And the Cyclones have kicked up their local representation. Players from this area on the team are:

• Linebacker Evan Brinker (Washington);

• Running back Adam Amato (Union);

• Quarterback Andy Mundwiller (Washington);

• Lineman George Hess (Warrenton);

• Lineman Dan Black (Washington); and

• Wide receiver Bobby Vondera (Union).

Mundwiller played for Borgia during his high school days.

The Cyclones will be playing their home games at Borgia again this season with the first game set for Saturday, April 27.

The game against the Sugar Creek Shockers kicks off at 2 p.m.

Following the game, the Cyclones will host a mouse races event at The Competitive Edge Fitness Center. Tickets for both events can be purchased prior to the day for $20.

The team has announced a 15-game schedule, which does not include playoffs.

The next game will be May 4 at Borgia against the Illinois Justice. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

After road games May 11 at the Des Moines Blaze and May 18 at the Sugar Creek Shockers, the Cyclones return for four home games in June.

The Illinois Firehawks come to Borgia June 1 at 7 p.m.

The Cyclones host their division rival, the Midwest Chargers, June 8 at 7 p.m.

The lone road game of the month will be played at the Stallions of Country Club Hills June 15.

After that, the Missouri Valley Pitbulls visit town June 22 at 7 p.m.

The final home game of the month will be against the Nashville Storm June 29 at 7 p.m.

In July, the Cyclones play twice on the road to start the month. Games will be at the Illinois Chaos July 6 and at the Gateway Hawks July 13.

The Chicago Falcons come to Washington July 20 at 7 p.m.

The Cyclones visit the Midwest Chargers July 27.

The final scheduled home game is Aug. 3 against the Chicago Cardinals. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Borgia.

The Cyclones cap the regular season at the Missouri Valley Pitbulls Aug. 10.

Season passes are on sale for $25. This pass works for all home games and also includes a discount to playoff games. The passes are on sale for $25 apiece.

Gate fees this season are $5 for adults 13 and over and those 12 and under are admitted free.
