Gearing up for its home tournament next week, the Borgia basketball Lady Knights rolled Thursday at Trinity, 70-30.
Borgia (12-4) is seeded fourth for its own event and will open play Monday at 5:20 p.m. against Cardinal Ritter.
Against Trinity, Borgia overcame bus lag to jump on the Titans early in Thursday’s game. Borgia led 25-9 after one quarter and 42-19 at the intermission.
Borgia held a 65-26 lead after three quarters.
Borgia’s smallest player had the biggest scoring game. Emily Grahl netted 18 points while adding five assists, five steals and two rebounds.
Janie Arand and Katie Lindemann scored 12 points apiece.
Arand also had six rebounds, four assists and a steal.
Lindemann contributed four rebounds.
Megan Jensen, a freshman, ended with 11 points, six rebounds and a steal.
Molly Arand finished the game with nine points, six rebounds, four steals and three assists.
Baylee Godat and Alexis Sine scored three points apiece. Godat had two rebounds and a steal. Sine hit a three-point basket and added an assist.
Madison Wehking scored two points with five rebounds, two steals and an assist.
Also playing were Cassandra Halsted and Morgan Spradling (four rebounds and one steal).
Bria Brown led Trinity in scoring with eight points.
Tess Meyer was next with six. Amiah Hagens and Kim Manson scored five points apiece.
Shannell Lawson and Chloe Rickett-Gay netted three points each for the Titans.
