Several area football players have been honored by the Missouri Football Coaches Association on its 2018 all-district teams.

A total of 48 players received 50 postseason awards. Two players were honored for two different positions.

Area players were honored in Class 4, Class 3 and Class 2.

Class 4

By school, honored players were:

St. Francis Borgia Regional — Senior running back Louie Eckelkamp, senior returner Tyler Glosemeyer, senior defensive lineman and punter Joe Schmidt and senior linebacker Matthew Sinnott.

• Union — senior defensive back Demetrius Clark, senior linebacker Haiden Meyer, senior offensive lineman Luke Siddens and junior receiver Peyton Burke;

• Washington — junior offensive lineman Joe Hackmann, sophomore defensive lineman Ryan Hoerstkamp, sophomore defensive back Luke Kroeter and junior receiver Nate Busch;

• Sullivan — senior receiver Blaine Blankenship, junior tight end Trevor Hamblin and senior linebacker Issac Peregoy; and

• Warrenton — Senior linebacker Zac Blackwood, junior offensive lineman Cody Crump, junior quarterback Nolan Chimiel and junior defensive back Dylan Smith.

Class 3

Area players honored were:

• St. Clair — junior offensive lineman Ryan Barrett, senior defensive back Kamalei Bursey, senior offensive lineman Luke Feddersen, senior tight end Jacob Hawkins, senior quarterback Tim Hoffman and junior defensive back Dalton Thompson; 

• Owensville — junior defensive lineman Kayne Elms, junior receiver Cason Gray, senior linebacker Brad Long and senior offensive lineman Jarret Payne;

• St. James — senior receiver and punter Grant Conway, senior linebacker Sage Gibson, senior defensive back Connor Gorrell, senior offensive lineman Logan Ives, senior running back Tyler Recker and senior defensive back Tate Whitener; and

• Wright City — freshman quarterback Hayden Beck, junior receiver Jeremy Cundiff, senior running back Jayden Mayhaney, senior offensive lineman Donnie Grueneberg and junior returner Will Janowski.

Class 2

Two area schools were honored in Class 2 with Hermann and Cuba receiving all-district awards. Their honored players were:

• Hermann — sophomore offensive lineman Sam Hurst, junior linebacker Trent Gleeson, senior defensive back Chase Racherbaumer and senior defensive lineman Sam Krull; and

• Cuba — sophomore receiver Alan O’Neal, senior receiver Gavin Sparks, sophomore quarterback TJ Bright and sophomore offensive lineman Wyatt Whittaker.
