Board certified in internal medicine, Dr. Waltman received her undergraduate degree from Truman State University in Kirksville. She earned her medical degree at the University of Missouri School of Medicine. She completed her internal medicine residency at University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio, where she also served as a chief medical resident and clinical instructor.
"I enjoy practicing the preventive aspects of medicine," she said. "I like helping people to understand their diseases, manage chronic diseases and avoid long-term complications."
Communication and patient education are essential components of disease management. "By letting patients know what my goals are for their health, I can help them achieve their goals," Dr. Waltman said.
Dr. Waltman is the daughter of Kathy and David Grayson of Luebbering. She and her husband Paul have two children, Matthew and Ella.
Jefferson Regional Medical Center is located in Jefferson County.
