She was united in marriage to Victor Fritz Biere June 15, 1946, at the Evangelical Church in Bland.
Her first occupation was as a loving nanny. She then spent years at various positions as a factory worker in shoe manufacturing plants in Bland, Hermann and Owensville.
She loved spending time with family and friends and loved cooking great meals for them. Another pastime that gave her immense enjoyment was gardening, especially with flowers. She attended the Evangelical Church in Bland.
Mrs. Biere was preceded in death by her husband in 2004; her parents; four brothers, Charles, Marvin, Milford in infancy and Clarence Juedemann; and two sisters, Esther Branson and Minnie Hollandsworth.
She is survived by three children, Judy Michel and husband Ralph, St. James, Gary Biere and wife Diana, Bland, and Debbie Diestelkamp and husband Larry, Hermann; seven grandchildren, Nicole Visocky, Springfield, Rebecca Davis and husband Terral, Marshfield, Joshua Biere and wife Shelley, Owensville, Tabatha Hicks, Bland, Heidi Allinger and husband Michael, Ann Arbor, Mich., Jessica Diestelkamp, Union, and Jason Diestelkamp and wife Stephanie, O'Fallon; seven great-grandchildren, Tony Curtis, Patrick Potts, Haley Biere, Davin and Natalie Allinger, Clayton Hicks and Susanna Diestelkamp; one sister, Shirley Quave and husband Dave, Livingston, La.; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 6, at Gottenstroetter Funeral Home, Owensville, with the Rev. Bruce Elmore officiating. Burial was in Old Bland Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jessica and Jason Diestelkamp, Joshua Biere, Rebecca Davis, Tabatha Hicks and Nicole Visocky.
The family was served by Gottenstroetter Funeral Home, Owensville.
