Hope Other Towns Follow Washington, Union
By Steve Ciegel, Pharmacist, Washington 11/06/2009
To The Editor: I am a longtime pharmacist in the area and would like to congratulate both the Washington and Union City councils for stepping forward in requiring a prescription to obtain medication containing pseudoephedrine.
At the present time this is the best solution to decreasing the local manufacture and availability of methamphetamine. There are still numerous medications available without a prescription to treat nasal allergies and congestion. I suggest those patients needing medication for these conditions to ask their pharmacist for assistance.
