"Of course, we did change the carpet and updated the technology along the way, too," Struckhoff joked, recalling the first time an ATM machine was installed.
"We honestly didn't think people would use it," she said.
Struckhoff began her banking career as a teller after graduating from St. Francis Borgia High School. She gained increasing responsibility along the way, opening accounts and taking care of compliance and collections issues.
About nine years ago she became a mortgage lender, a role she thoroughly enjoys.
"It's so rewarding helping a first-time homeowner or watching the excitement of a couple building a new home," she said. "I also have fun helping homeowners put the pieces together when they want to refinance in order to do a remodel or a loan consolidation."
Just as important as her eagerness to assist others reach their financial goals and dreams is her personal commitment to the community and sharing of her lifelong love of music. She is a 25-year member of the finance committee for St. Vincent de Paul Church, where she has also been a choir director and organist for the Dutzow church for the past 30 years.
Struckhoff hung up her hat as an EMT in 2008, after serving for 25 years as a volunteer for the St. Charles County Ambulance District.
Now, she spends her free time with her husband Mark enjoying their five grown children and two granddaughters, Delaney and Kellann.
