Dr. Jackie Vaughn has previous experience from working at the Virburnum, Potosi and Sullivan license offices in the past.
Their bid was the only bid submitted for the Sullivan office.
It's currently unknown if or when the Sullivan office will have to close during the move.
All bidders have the option of returning a portion of the office's revenues to the state. The Vaughns declined.
Six other bids were awarded along with the Sullivan office. They are in Affton, Blue Springs, Branson West, Harrisonville, St. Louis and Waynesville.
"In the past license offices were given out at the governor's discretion, in many cases to his political allies," Nixon said in a released statement. "Now, an open and transparent competitive process is used, and professional evaluation teams award the bids based on financial efficiencies and customer service. The new system promotes innovation and opens up the potential management of these offices to anyone who is willing to submit a quality bid."
The St. Clair office was awarded last month to the St. Clair Chamber of Commerce, and there will be no changes in location or policy.
