As a young woman, she was united in marriage and blessed to have 10 children.
Mrs. Adams is survived by four son s, Jack Adams and wife Katy, St. Clair, Bob Adams and wife Patty, Glasgow, Terry Adams and wife Nancy, Cedar Hill, and David Adams, Hillsboro; five daughters, Peggy Hopper, Poplar Bluff, Judy Campbell, Sullivan, Sue Radosh and husband Art, Poplar Bluff, Carolyn Sterzik and husband Larry, Arnold, and Linda Bingman and husband Patrick, Hillsboro; one brother, the Rev. Lee Rowden and wife Ima Jean, Sedalia; 26 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; great-, great-great- and great-great-great-nieces and -nephews; cousins; other relatives and many friends.
Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ophelia Rowden; one son, Johnny Adams; four brothers, Elzia Rowden, Jewel Rowden, Junior Rowden and Leslie Rowden; and two sisters, Lucille Lay and Georgia Dicknight.
She was a Christian of the Pentecostal faith.
For about 15 years, Mrs. Adams was employed at Coin Acceptors, St. Louis.
Caring for her home and family was always her first priority. In more recent years, she enjoyed doing embroidery and working crossword puzzles.
Each of her many grandchildren held a special place in her heart, just as she did in their hearts.
A devoted and loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great- and great-great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great-, great-great- and great-great-great-aunt, cousin and friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 23, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair, with the Rev. Eugene Hudson officiating.
Interment was in the Vienna Public Cemetery, Vienna.
